The ombudsperson is a neutral contact person for all members of the JGU and provides confidential advice on all questions of good scientific practice and scientific misconduct. In case of bias or prevention, a deputy is available.
More detailed information on the tasks of the ombudsperson as well as on the procedure of a possible investigation of suspected scientific misconduct can be found in particular in Section 22, 24 of the JGU Regulations.
